Meet Chef David Schoen, based in Los Angeles, California.

Chef David opened his first restaurant in Chicago, Illinois in 2001 called Pangea Bistro. It received stellar reviews for its American eclectic cuisine. In 2004, he went on to open Wasabi Sushi Lounge in Panama City, Panama. Chef David collaborated with Japanese Master Chef Hideo Ishii-San in designing an authentic Japanese menu, which E Entertainment described as “the best sushi in Latin America.”

Chef David started Knife & Grill in 2010, a company which focuses in catering and private cooking and works on bringing new culinary products to the market.

In 2015, Chef David invented the Selfie Cork, a universal bottle stopper that turns almost any bottle into a mono-pod for hands-free pictures and videos.

In 2021, Rice Browns launched in 100+ Whole Foods, Gelson’s Markets, Bristol Farms and Instacart.

Currently, Chef David is in the process of bringing numerous other food innovations to market.

Chef David continuously designs and develops new culinary concepts and consults for every sector in the hospitality industry. His greatest reward remains his contribution to cooking for the unhoused brothers and sisters of Destination Hope in LA County.
